Personal Information Protection Policy

We, SAKATA INX CORPORATION, acknowledge the importance of personal information provided from customers and all individuals (hereinafter referred to as ""Customers""). Based on the "Privacy Law of Japan" and other applicable laws and regulations, we believe that it is our social responsibility to handle and to protect personal information properly. The following is our "Personal Information Protection Policy." The term "Personal Information" means information collected and/or retained about Customers for us to carry out our business, which can be used to identify that specific individual by name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc.

Basic perspective for handling personal information

  • We will comply with "Privacy Law of Japan" and other applicable laws and regulations, and practices generally accepted as fair and reasonable regarding personal information. We will also properly handle Customers' personal information, and improve handling of such information.
  • We will make clear and familiarize the rules on handling personal information to our employees, etc. We will also ask business partners, etc. to handle personal information properly.
  • We will clarify its purpose of use when collecting personal information and notify or disclose the purpose. We will use personal information within the scope of such purpose of use.
  • We will prevent leakage, loss, alteration, misuse, etc. of personal information from occurring by taking necessary measures so that personal information is managed appropriately.
  • We will properly respond to Customers’ at first hand of their request on personal information to disclose, amend, delete, discontinue use, etc.

To be specific, we will handle personal information based on the following policy.

1. Management of personal information

  • We will properly manage personal information by preventing leakage, loss, alteration, misuse, etc. of personal information.
  • We will educate and have our employees be aware of handling personal information properly.

2. Use of personal information

We collect personal information to manufacture, sell, etc. printing ink and others within the scope of our business purpose. Personal information will be used for the following purpose. (We will notify or disclose to Customers based on the method stipulated when we may change the purpose of use within the reasonable range if it is relevant with the purpose of use prior to the change.)
When contracting out a part of our operations to a contractor to facilitate operations, we will conclude an agreement with the contractor on handling personal information and manage such information in an appropriate manner.

  • To procure, sell, install, repair, inspect and/or to provide maintenance service for products and commodities that we deal in
  • To provide information of products, commodities and services that we deal in
  • To send information of seminars, exhibitions, etc.
  • To collect and/or provide information about new product developments and various questionnaires
  • To reply to various inquiries
  • Recruiting employees, etc. and various procedures for shareholders and investors
  • To conduct business followed with various jobs other than above

3. Disclosure and provision of personal information to third parties

We will not disclose and/or provide any third parties with personal information except when one of the following conditions are met.

  • Consent has been obtained from the principal
  • Disclosure and provision of statistics in a form so that individual cannot be identified or specified
  • When disclosure and provision of personal information is required by laws and regulations
  • Personal information necessary for third party to protect human life, health, or property, and it is difficult to obtain consent from the principal
  • Personal information especially necessary for the third party for public health or promotion of sound growth for children, and it is difficult to obtain consent from the principal
  • When it is necessary to cooperate with national agencies, municipalities, or entities that are entrusted by governmental organizations in the performance of their tasks required by laws and regulations, and when obtaining consent from the principal may hinder execution of such tasks

4. Share of personal information

We will notify or disclose the following items to you based on the method stipulated in case we share your personal information with our affiliated companies.

  • Items of personal information shared
  • Range of persons that share the information
  • Purpose of use by persons sharing the information
  • Persons with responsibility for managing personal information

5. Disclose, amend, delete, discontinue use, etc. of personal information

Please contact our Human Capital ＆ General Affairs Div. in clause 7 about personal information that we have retained. Upon receiving a request to disclose, amend, delete, discontinue use, etc. of personal information, we will respond appropriately and without delay to the request within the scope necessary after verifying the identity of the principal.

6. Change in basic policy

The content of this basic policy may change due to change in applicable laws and regulations of personal information or change in our business content, etc.
