SAKATA INX's Tokyo, Osaka, Shiga and Hanyu plants have won TPM Advanced Special Award. TPM is an abbreviation for "Total Productive Maintenance" which was proposed by the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance. TPM aims to build a corporate system that pursues maximum production system efficiency (comprehensive streamlining).

This award is given to locations that have previously received TPM Special Award, and also have obtained results on items of emphasis that have been set up in order to deploy TPM activities. We are being honored based on innovative production method, overseas TPM deployment, years of continuous efforts put into TPM activities, contribution to management, etc. Furthermore, Production Category 2nd seating in the TPM Excellent Thesis Award has also been awarded for "improvement in equipment assurance."

SAKATA INX will continue to have plants that inspire our customers and keep winning throughout the 21st century by embodying innovative technological capabilities through TPM activities.
