Through Japan for UNHCR, the Japanese official liaison with the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Office), SAKATA INX Group donated to the UNHCR for humanitarian assistance to Ukraine in March 2022 and for support for victims by earthquake damage in Turkey and Syria in February 2023. For these supports, the letter of appreciation was presented to Mr. Ueno, Representative Director, President & CEO, by Japan for UNHCR on September 19, 2023.
The UNHCR is the UN's refugee assistance agency established in 1950. It provides international protection and assistance to refugees and displaced persons who have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict or persecution, and works towards solutions to refugee problems.
