Notice of the Selection as a Composition Stock of the Index "S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index"

SAKATA INX CORPORATION announced today that it has been selected as one of the issues to compose the index "S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index" that was additionally adopted by Japan' s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) , which incorporates information related to environment (E), Social (S) and Governance (G) into investment, or so-called ESG investment.
Constructed by S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC, one of the world' s largest provider of financial market indices, the "S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index" weights constituent companies by taking disclosure, carbon reduction initiatives and influence within industry group into consideration. Weights for approximately 1,700 companies chosen are adjusted based on sufficient environmental disclosure and carbon efficiency (carbon emissions per unit of revenue) within the same industry.
