Reduction of Environmental Impact of Business Activities

Printed matters such as newspapers, leaflets, calendars, magazines, corrugated boxes, paper bags and food packagings are an essential part of our daily lives. They are also used as an important way to transmit information.
In order to make printed matters, you need substrates such as paper, film, etc. (materials that are to be printed on), plate (original plate used for printing), printing press and printing ink. Each of these components displays unique features to create more satisfactory printed matters and allows effective communication of information.
Printing ink is made of raw materials such as pigment, resin, solvent and additives. During the manufacturing process, energy, water and chemical substances are used and CO2, waste materials, water and chemical substances are emitted. In addition to communicating information through printed matters, one of our most important challenges as a manufacture is to reduce environmental impact as much as possible.
SAKATA INX works to achieve energy savings in the manufacturing process and to reduce the amount of waste in order to achieve this goal. Furthermore, we have always strived to identify market needs while at the same time reducing environmental impact, including working to modify organic solvent used in ink, developing ink with reduced VOC (volatile organic compounds), and proposing equipment for the treatment of organic solvent gasses that arise during the printing process.
