In August 2022, we have been selected as one of the issues to compose the index “FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index.”
“FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index” has been built by FTSE Russell which is a global index provider. It is designed to measure the performance of Japanese companies that demonstrate strong Environmental, Social and Governance practices. It supports climate transition to a low carbon economy by evaluating companies’ climate governance and climate change efforts with TPI (Transition Pathway Initiative) Management Quality Score. Only companies that have made improvements to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases are evaluated and incorporated into the index. We will continue to strive to improve our corporate value and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.

Selection as a Composition Stock of the Index "S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index"

In January 2019, we have been selected as one of the issues to compose the index "S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index" that was additionally adopted by Japan' s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) , which incorporates information related to Environment, Social and Governance into investment.
Constructed by S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC, one of the world' s largest provider of financial market indices, the "S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index" weights constituent companies by taking disclosure, carbon reduction initiatives and influence within industry group into consideration. We will further enhance our efforts to date to solve various societal issues, including the issue of climate change.

Earned "B−" for CDP Climate Change

We earned “B−“ in the “Climate Change program” to assess the activities related to information disclosure on climate change, which was carried out by CDP in 2022. CDP is a non-governmental organization (NGO) managed by a charity in the United Kingdom that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts.
One of the material issues for SAKATA INX Group is to conduct “activities that maintain the sustainable global environment.” We aim for a society that “preserves the global environment, and provides safety and health for the people.”
We will further enhance our initiatives to solve various societal issues including issues related to climate change, and will also actively disclose information on climate change.
