The Traffic Safety Promotion Committee aims for zero traffic accidents and violations, and undertakes activities to prevent accidents such as the holding of traffic safety courses and presenting awards for zero accidents and violations. And with the aim of preventing driving under the influence of alcohol in company-owned vehicles, we have made it mandatory to use an alcohol detector every morning before getting in the vehicle to make sure that there is no alcohol in drivers’ breath before driving.
The traffic safety course included explanations regarding the state of traffic accidents at SAKATA INX, corporate responsibility for traffic accidents during working hours, and the background and factors involved in the occurrence of traffic accidents. In particular, the course raised awareness of the dangers of motorcycles appearing suddenly from behind vehicles when turning right and of hitting pedestrians when turning left.
In addition, the company newsletter includes articles on traffic safety with subjects including driving in the rain, things to pay attention to when driving at night, preventing rear-end collisions, and driving safely in winter in order to focus employees’ attention on safety matters.
