1. Basic Policy

In the Companywide Basic Health and Safety Policy, SAKATA INX states to ensure the safety of working people in all business activities as well as their physical and mental health is an important management issue. The company designates maintaining and enhancing employee health to be a material issue alongside building a sustainable working environment.
By advancing the health and safety activities that we have been conducting and proactively undertaking initiatives to build health that enables employees to work vibrantly both mentally and physically, we aim to build a sustainable society and increase our corporate value.

2. Activity policy and initiative details

In our implementation of Health and Productivity Management®, we shall follow the activity policy described below.

  • SAKATA INX shall work together with health insurance societies to maintain and increase employee health and prevent illness.
  • We will strive to increase employees’ health consciousness through health and safety education and awareness raising.
  • We will work to build a comfortable working environment that enables employees to work in good health both physically and mentally.
  • We will provide support for activities to enable employees to independently work on building their health.
  • SAKATA INX shall also work to maintain and improve the health of the families who support our employees.

Specific Initiatives

(1) Health promotion seminar
Health promotion seminar was held with the aim to increase understanding and health awareness regarding the importance of health.

The contents were based on the value of health, dietary habit, exercise and sleep.

(2) Provide information on health
As part of the enlightenment activities, we have set up a website related to health in the company's intranet. The following contents are provided to employees.

  • Videos on our initiatives on health, preventive measures for heat stroke, health effects of smoking on your body, women's health, etc.
  • Newsletter related to health, column from the nurse, etc.

(3) Exercise habit

  • Health challenge event
We held a health challenge event using a smartphone app. About 30% of employees participated in the event in 2023.

(4) Decrease in smoking rate

  • Support to non-smoking
As one of our targets is to decrease smoking rate, we give support to non-smoking – employees who want to stop smoking can experience actual life without smoking by using a nicotine gum.
