Selection as a Composition Stock of the Index "FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index"
In August 2022, we have been selected as one of the issues to compose the index “FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index.”
“FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index” has been built by FTSE Russell which is a global index provider. It is designed to measure the performance of Japanese companies that demonstrate strong Environmental, Social and Governance practices. It supports climate transition to a low carbon economy by evaluating companies’ climate governance and climate change efforts with TPI (Transition Pathway Initiative) Management Quality Score. Only companies that have made improvements to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases are evaluated and incorporated into the index. We will continue to strive to improve our corporate value and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
Selection as a Composition Stock of the Index "S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index"
In January 2019, we have been selected as one of the issues to compose the index "S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index" that was additionally adopted by Japan' s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) , which incorporates information related to Environment, Social and Governance into investment.
Constructed by S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC, one of the world' s largest provider of financial market indices, the "S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index" weights constituent companies by taking disclosure, carbon reduction initiatives and influence within industry group into consideration. We will further enhance our efforts to date to solve various societal issues, including the issue of climate change.
Scored B in CDP Reports of "Climate Change" and "Water Security"
We earned B in both CDP Climate Change Report 2023 and CDP Water Security Report 2023. CDP is a non-governmental organization (NGO) managed by a charity in the United Kingdom that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts.
One of the material issues for SAKATA INX Group is to conduct “activities that maintain the sustainable global environment.” We aim for a society that “preserves the global environment, and provides safety and health for the people.”
We will further enhance our initiatives to solve various societal issues including issues related to climate change, and will also actively disclose information on climate change.
Certified as 3 Stars in the Nikkei Sustainable Comprehensive Survey "Smart Work Management category"
In November 2024, we have been certified as 3 stars in the Nikkei Sustainable Comprehensive Survey "Smart Work Management category" sponsored by Nikkei Inc.
The Smart Work Management survey has been conducted by Nikkei Inc. since 2017, covering listed and leading unlisted companies nationwide, and is rated on a 5-star scale according to three factors: human resource utilization, human resource investment, and technology utilization.

The SDGs Management Survey has been conducted by Nikkei Inc.since 2019, covering listed and leading unlisted companies nationwide, and is rated on a 5-star scale according to four factors: SDGs strategic and economic value, social value, environmental value, and governance.
Certified as "2024 Health & Productivity Management"
SAKATA INX has been recognized four years in a row since 2021 for our health and productivity management initiatives. We have been certified as "2024 Health & Productivity Management" jointly by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi.

Since 2017, we have been certified as Osaka City Leading Company for Female Empowerment. With the aim of promoting the empowerment of women throughout society, Osaka City certifies companies that not only comply with relevant laws and regulations but also actively undertake building of organizations. This enables motivated women to keep working and support work-life balance.
Actions taken by SAKATA INX were recognized by this certification for work-life balance initiatives including improved usage of annual leave along with other successes such as an increase in the number of female employees and women in management roles.

Certified to use "Tomonin" mark
We have been certified to use the Tomonin mark created by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in August 2022 as a company working on developing a workplace environment for balancing work and nursing care.
We will continue to work to create a pleasant working environment for each employee and take initiatives to support balance work and nursing care, etc.
Certified as a company that practices "Telework Tokyo Rule"
In February 2023, we have been certified as a company that practices "Telework Tokyo Rule" by the Bureau of Industrial and Labor Affairs, Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
This system is for companies, organization, etc., that conduct business in Tokyo. Under the telework strategic vision, each company sets out their own original rule related to teleworking, etc. according to their situation.
We will continue to work to promote telework and set it well in place, and will also take the initiative to create a working environment that employees are satisfied with their job.
SAKATA Forest Recognized by Ministry of the Environment as a Natural Symbiosis Site
In March 2024, the SAKATA Forest, a green space at our Shiga Plant (located in Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture), was recognized by the Ministry of the Environment as a "Natural Symbiosis Site," an area dedicated to the preservation of biodiversity. Surrounded by abundant natural surroundings such as Lake Biwa and Mount Ibuki, SAKATA Forest provides green spaces and waterfronts that contribute to the formation of an ecosystem network that connects these surroundings, contributing to the conservation of biodiversity throughout the region.
In order to achieve our 30by30 target, we will work to conserve and restore biodiversity through maintenance and management activities at SAKATA Forest, and continue to engage in further sustainability-related initiatives throughout the Group.
Earned 3 Stars under the Shiga Biodiversity Initiative Certification System
SAKATA INX received the highest rank of three stars under the FY2023 Shiga Biodiversity Initiatives Certification System run by Shiga Prefecture.
Under this system, Shiga Prefecture recognizes the efforts of companies and organizations in relation to conservation of biodiversity and the sustainable use of natural resources in their business activities, and certifies them on a three-star scale according to the number of criteria met. Going forward, we will continue contributing to the conservation of biodiversity throughout our region of operation, primarily through the conservation of the SAKATA Forest, a green space at our Shiga Plant where many native and rare animal and plant species have been identified.
Our UK and Spein Subsidiary was awarded with Silver Medal in EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment
Our subsidiary in the United Kingdom, INX INTERNATIONAL UK LTD., and in Spein, SAKATA INX ESPANA, S.A. was awarded with Silver Medal in the sustainability assessment conducted by EcoVadis. INX INTERNATIONAL UK LTD has been continuously certified since 2020.
The sustainability assessment conducted by EcoVadis provides objective ratings of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of suppliers’ performances. The assessment focuses on four themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement , and is evaluated according to industry, country and company size by international experts. These criteria are based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), ISO 26000, etc.
We will contribute to realize a sustainable society as a company that is trusted from society by continuous enhancement in the aspects of Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
