Basic Policy on Information Security

We pursue our corporate philosophy of "Mind within the Mind." We define the creation of visual communication technologies as our business theme. With a view to the sustainable development of society, we are conducting corporate activities for developing a communication culture that makes people's lives more enjoyable.

We regard information and information systems that we deal with (hereinafter "information assets") as one of the sources of our competitiveness in carrying out corporate activities. We are aware that one of our management tasks is to protect the information assets we own from any event that may cause damage to them, to prepare for presumable risks and to make continuous efforts for improvement. We have thus established the SAKATA INX Group Basic Policy on Information Security as set forth below.

Scope

This policy applies to all officers, corporate advisors and employees of the SAKATA INX Group (including quasi-employees such as non-regular staff, contract employees, part-time employees, temporary dispatch workers and fixed-term employees). We also require all business partners involved with our products and services (our business partners and suppliers) to understand and support this policy.

1. Compliance with laws, regulations and internal Rules

We will establish internal rules relating to laws, regulations and social norms concerning information security and make sure that our officers, employees and other personnel observe them.

2. Promotion structure

We will set up the Information Security Committee for the purpose of implementing maintenance and management of information assets. The Committee will regularly monitor the status of information security and take necessary actions to improve it.

3. Management of information assets

We will take the necessary ex-ante and ex-post measures against information security risks such as unauthorized access to, and the falsification, loss, destruction and leakage of, information assets.

4. Education and awareness-raising

We will regularly provide officers, employees and other personnel with education and training on information security to continuously improve their awareness of information security.

5. Accident response

If any information security issue occurs, we will swiftly implement recovery and corrective measures and endeavor to prevent the issue from happening again.
If there is any conduct in violation of the internal rules on information security, we will take firm action against the persons carrying out the conduct.
